Experiencing extreme echoing from all headsets/earbuds/whatever I plug in

Hi. I'm experiencing extreme echoing from every set of audio devices I use except speakers. This only started once I bought a new headset. I'm using Windows 10 and the "listen to this device" box is unchecked

Make sure that your headset is plugged ALL the way in. If not, then it is possible that your external speakers are still connected, and therefore still playing sounds. also, it is possible that your headset mike is picking up sounds from the earpads, and then feeding back.
