Agree also that children are too pampered. We've come to expect almost nothing from them and routinely dumb down tests and education just so that everyone can pass with minimal effort. Kids will do what they can get away with, set standards higher and REAL punishments for failure like in the old days, and our kids will rise to the occasion. Allow them to get away with bad grades and they'll continue to do so.
Back to Facebook, just shows that it may be hard to monetize social networking. Not all useful inventions are profitable, Facebook has a problem in that in order to make money, they have to track and make use of the info of their users. Their users don't want to be tracked. Is Facebook worth the cost of losing your privacy? That's the ultimate question yet to be answered.
