Question Faint lines on my Samsung ES8000 - Why?

Hi All,

My trusty Samsung ES8000 TV has recently developed some lines which only show up on certain colours.

Is there a reason for this and can it be fixed by new cable, reseating cables or something else?

They show no matter in the input, Samsung menus, satalite TV, various apps.. So it is a TV fault and not an outside source.

The TV has a defect. Either it´s something on the T-CON board or the panel itself.

Vertical or horizontal lines?

Its the vertical lines in the picture, they change colour to what the picture behind them is, so on a green background, they are normally a lighter or darker green, red, the lines are a lighter or darker red.. It just depends on the brightness of the colour.

On some colours/pictures, they are not visible at all. Just like the picture i have attached, the lines do not show on the grey box but the lines can be seen in the upper green tone...

Hoping I can save the TV
