Question FAT32 Formated MP# Player

Like an idiot I told my son to format my wife's Transcend 8Gb USB MP3 player to FAT32, now it doesn't recognize mp3 format. Can I fix it or must it be binned?

Sorry for the inconvenience - it was my son getting music from where he shouldn't - I reformated and loaded my own music, working fine now.
