Hi all,
I was wondering, can I squeeze a little bit more from the old machine - HP DV9700 notebook.

1. What is the best CPU upgrade for old buddy?

2. Could I get RAM to operate faster than current speed, which is 333 Mhz?
My old DDR2 modules was slower - PC2 5400 (667Mhz), so upgrade to faster module didn't change anything?

Motherboard:
Quanta 30CB, rev. 79.2E, Intel PM965 (rev. C0), and Intel 82801HBM (ICH8-ME) Southbridge (rev. B1), 800Mhz FSB IIRC..
Master HDD: SATA SSD Kingston 120 GB
Latest BIOS Update from HP - rev.F.58
RAM: 4 GB DDR2 PC2 6400 (800MHZ).
Current CPU is Intel Core 2 Duo T9500@2.6 GHz (Socket 478) 800Mhz bus
GPU: GeForce 8600 GS 512 MB

other than topic':

CPU-Z shows me different CPU Bench scores under x64 Windows 7 and Windows 10 (currently running). The difference is BIG, is this some kind of error or it is normal?

Regards,
Kalin

Thanks for your reply. Is the P9500 any better than T9500?
So I cannot put T9900 or other than 800 MHZ FSB processor?
