Fiber optic eliminate PC noise?

Hello.

I'm planning to buy a new amplifier to connect to my PC.
What i wanted to know is if you connect the amplifier to the sound crard of a PC via fiber optics, will the sounds (especially noises from the PC) will be eliminated?
I've noticed that if you connect good earphones directly to the sound card without playing anything you can hear various sounds that probably come from the fans, etc.

but to send 5.1 signals they need to compressed, at that stage HDMI wins.

And if the audio of the computer has noise, the fiber optic connection does not remove the noise.

yes, but i think the OP is worried about interferences and such, and actual physical noise within the computer case, affecting analogue signals.
