Field Names in MS Access 2013 Tables Are Too Small

This might be an issue because of misconfiguration in the database display options in MS Access 2013 program. As per MS Access 2013 default configuration, the field names are set to use 11pt for the font size, and the weight of the displayed font is set to Normal. There are no underlines or italics enabled in the field names as well.

If you are experiencing the weird field names while opening the tables to enter the records, it is quite clear that someone has messed up your instance of MS Access 2013 and have accidentally or deliberately misconfigure the settings. This issue might also arise if any incompatible application has automatically modified the default settings and has changed the display configuration of the application.

In either case, you don’t need to panic about the issue. This problem can be resolved very easily and without any administrative intervention. You are just required to modify the global settings of your database in the Access Options box that you can easily open from within the MS Access 2013 interface itself.

As a security precaution, and to avoid any such incidents in future, you are suggested to use a strong password to protect your user account on the computer that you use.
Below are the instructions using which you can reconfigure your MS Access 2013 database to resolve the problem:

■Log on to the computer using any account.

■Initialize the MS Access 2013 program.

■Open the desired database on which the configurations are to be made.

■Once opened, go to FILE tab from the menu bar.

■From the displayed list, click Options.

■Back on the previous interface, click OK on the displayed message box.

■Go to FILE > Close to close the opened database.

■After closing, reopen the same database.

■You should now find the field names in the opened table with normal fonts.

■Start using the MS Access 2013 database normally.
