I have been given a second hand iPhone 4s, and I want to activate it with my cel service provider. I have the sim card from my provider to use with it. I have reset phone to factory settings. However, the phone has a pop up box that explains that it is still listed on the previous owners Apple iCloud. It tells me to contact the previous owner and have them log into their apple account to remove the old device from their account. This is not a viable option for me. is there any other way?
