Firefox Bing Nightmare

IM using Firefox 34.0 on Mint 17.1 “Rebecca". I have tried everything I can to get Bing to go away as a search but it keeps coming back! I want to use Google as a search engine. Since Firefox has gone to Bing I can not get it to default to Google and stay on Google. Might to drop Firefox I hate Bing!!

From Firefox, enable the Menu Bar. Select Tools and then Options. Click on the Search tab and select Google as your default provider.
