Fixing my busted AC adapter port on my laptop

I dropped my laptop and it busted the AC adapter port on my laptop. I've disassembled the laptop. I am planning on putting it in a regular desktop case.

How can I solder on a new connection/adapter?

Hi, with a soldering iron and some solder, it is so simple. If you mean something else, be more specific.

yes you can solder a new connector or the wires from the adapter directly to it. just be carefully as if you short out any of the nearby traces its game over for it most likely.
