Fooling TV video-in to use as chromcast output

I have a TV that I am using to switch between my various media sources. It passes audio through to my soundbar.

I would like to hook a chromcast audio to it using AV ports on the TV. Unfortunately, unless there is an active video stream on the ports it won't take the audio. That is, unless I have some video playing on the video input no audio will play.

While I am able to make it work by plugging the video out from my DVD player, it has an annoying splash screen.

Is there a cable/plug I can get that will make the tv think that there is active video on the input?

Thanks for any help.
