Question Force laptop to boot to external monitor

I have Alienware m15 and I’m trying to connect it to my external monitor. Basic problem is that the lcd cable to the laptop’s display is fried (smoking fried), so the only way to use it is external monitor.

For whatever reason, the laptop doesn’t want to automatically display to the external monitor (Samsung tv). After hours of trying, I found a key combination to reset the bios to default (f10-enter-f9-enter) and the windows login screen pops up.

The new problem I have is that if I restart the computer I have to the f9 bios key strokes to get the laptop to display on the TV. Does anyone have any idea how to get it to automatically output to the TV and be able to see the bios on the TV. Thanks for the help and sorry about the long read.
