Screen got busted and it sat for a while till I got a new screen now my dummy self cant remember my password for windows entry

Press Ctrl +Alt + Dlt,you can access to the Acer with Administrator account (Now you are able to change any password for your Windows laptop from control panel).

For this to work, you would need to know the password to the administrator account, which the OP said they did not know.
