It looks like Framework's promise of upgradability has happened. I have one of the original Frameworks with an 11th gen Intel cpu. There are 3 CPUs from each generation to choose from. If I were so inclined, I could get a 12th gen or 13th gen Intel, or even a Ryzen logic board and install it in my existing laptop. I can even keep my Wifi card and SSD after the swap. If I stick with Intel, I can also keep my ram.

That said, I'm happy with my current system, so I'll leave it alone. I did upgrade my WiFI card, however.
