Front Panel issues on new computer

My new computer which is a few days old is having issues, the front panel audio and microphone 3.5mm inputs are not working. not even detecting when plugged is this a Motherboard issue or case wire issue. My motherboard is a Asus M5A97 R2. Please let me know as quickly as possible
