my brother has just bought the above camera. He loaded in the software and
all he gets is --windows could not upgrade the file 1 from 2 he says there
are reams of them and cant get into his pc or get connected.can anyone offer
some advice,so he can get up and running.I know he has windows ME his pc is
about 5 years old

If your brother has a card reader for his computer, he can get an
xD adapter that will allow the pictures to be copied. Card readers
are very inexpensive, far cheaper than most xD cards. The xD
adapter is where most of the money will go. My PC (more than 5
years old) doesn't even have USB, so I bought an xD to CF adapter
and all of the pictures taken with a Fuji A310 were copied
successfully. The A310 was returned yesterday, and will probably be
replaced in a day or two with a Fuji A340. It appears to be a nice
little camera, and small enough to always be on hand, which can't be
said for my other larger cameras.
