G6 black screen

I have an HP Pavilion G6 laptop and the screen remains black when I try to turn it on. I can hear the fan running and the hard drive running. All of the lights come on but the screen will not come on. Can anyone help me?

Hi, if you can, try an external monitor to see if you have an image from the laptop. The problem could be as simple as an inductor that has burned.

Also, you can flash a light at an angle on the screen to see if anything is on it.

I had 3 units of G6-2000 series and all had Graphics card issue or northbridge... hope its not this
