Hi all,
To start off, I know laptop limitations and everything.
Now, I have an HP G60t-500 CTO with a Pentium T4400 and 4GB Crucial RAM I just upgraded. All other hardware is stock. I don't have a lot of money so I've decided I want to upgrade this laptop. I know that some models came with an Nvidia graphics card (not sure if they were G60s or CQ60s, but they're functionally the same thing). I would be willing to swap out the motherboard I have for one with the Nvidia card. The only problem is that I can't seem to find part #s for them... it looks like this (http/www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B009R0QXVY/ref=dp_olp_used_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=used) would fit, but I'd like to have the HDMI port. Also, according to notebookcheck.net, it has a GeForce 8200m G, which is a chipset graphics card... does anyone know or know how to find the part numbers for an Intel motherboard with a dedicated Nvidia chip? I know it won't play BF3 but I want to try out SFM and it doesn't register my GL40 chipset GPU as a GPU, so no facial rendering...
I'm also looking at upgrading the processor to a Core 2 Duo or up... I believe it's compatible, can anyone confirm?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
