First of all let me specify my laptop configuration.
******************************
•ASUS A550JX-XX142D (2 days old)
•Intel i7 4720hq (4th gen)2.6ghz turbo boost upto 3.6 ghz
•12 GB ddr3l RAM
•nvidia gtx 450 4gb
•1 TB HDD 5400 RPM
•Windows 8.1
******************************

When I play any game the game runs perfectly till cutscenes, but after cut scenes the game runs for approx 10-15 seconds and suddenly the laptop crashes with vertical and horizontal red, white or black lines and continuous loop sound. To handle this I have to hard reset the laptop by pressing power button. I tried reinstalling nvidia drivers as well as I even tried to clean install windows 10, but the same problem still persists. For 10-15 seconds of gameplay I get 40+ fps in fraps. I am really worried for my new laptop. Please someone help me out with this.

The pictures of crashed games are available at my drive:

Hi,

Please do try doing a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- First is to open Device Manager and uninstall the Nvidia graphics driver.
- Next, open Programs and Features then uninstall anything related to Nvidia.
- Once done, download and install the latest driver.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
- Reboot the laptop once the driver has been installed.
- After the reboot do set Nvidia as the default GPU.
- Here's how: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2615/~/how-do-i-customize-optimus-profiles-and-settings%3F
- If the same problem will persist, do contact ASUS for a GPU repair specially if its still under the factory warranty.

Hello laptop nerd. I went to Asus service center where they figured out that my motherboard was faulty and they are replacing the part. Now can that be possible that games were crahsing due to faulty motherboard?
