Question Gaming computer and monitor integration with WFH laptop

Hi all,

I have recently got a job WFH where they have given me a laptop. I would like to be able to use my monitor (which i can with HDMI) but with my mouse and keyboard, i don’t want to have to unplug them from my computer and back. I know there is something called a Switch selector monitor but I don’t know how they work and what they need to plug into, if they need to plug into the monitor, my monitor doesn’t have a USB port.

Any help would be great.

I think the device you're looking for is a KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse). The keyboard and mouse would plug into the KVM and then from there to each computer. Then it's just the press of a button to switch which computer the keyboard and mouse are "talking" to.
