The best value headset I've bought is the Creative Fatality's for 50$. I'm not sure if they still sell them, but those things were damn good for the money. Detachable microphone too.
It's actually the headset I'm replacing, by far the best headset I've ever owned apart from issues with cross-talk. The wire finally broke so looking for a change
Noway lol my last pair as well. I went with the Logitech g230's this time. So much more comfortable and the mic sounds very clear.

When you drop $1500 on a pc, $50 for a headset sure is appealing Cool might look into that one, thanks for the help
Coincidences, I have one of those Creative's too. They use such small gauge wire that you really have to baby them. But it works really well for the money. I think I spent $30 for mine.
G430 might be good option as well. I have the wireless version (g930) and like them.
G430 uses the exact same hardware as the G230 and because it uses a digital dongle, the sound is actually worse. You're paying extra for software emulated surround sound. Not good.
