Gaming Laptop Budget $2100

Hi buy a laptop for gaming/school. I am willing to spend $2100. I want it to included a nvidia geforce 970m. However i do not want a 17in laptop. I was going to buy the MSI GT72 Dominator but the screen was too big for me.

I was going to update this to have a 980m and i7-4810MQ

I think they have slightly better specs then the MSI, and come in about $200 cheaper, but I'm not sure if its worth that instead of having a "name brand."

I end up buying the gs60 from Xoticpc. GT72 was too big also being a student ill have textbooks. And gt72 is 10 pounds with the charger.
