1. What is your budget?
$1800, including warranty
2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
17-18.4. 18.4 because of 6970m crossfired. What would you say?
3. What screen resolution do you want?
The most popular among gamers, 1920x1080.
4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
I'm looking for a gaming rig, hello.
5. How much battery life do you need?
About 20 minutes under BF3, just to carry it to a friend.
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
BF3! That's pretty much it for a couple of months... And, if it can handle BF3, it should handle 99% of all other games.
7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Photoshop, but extremely rarely and just basic stuff. 3ds Max, Vue (landscape creating program).
8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
I'd go with 32gb, just need it for those programs and BF3.
9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
Don't care, just any reliable one, with good support.
10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
At least 5 years, possibly up to 10. But cmon, I'm not Rockefeller...
11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
DVD Writer, have no use for BD.
12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
Hate HP & Dell (excluding Alienware, but as cheap as $1800 and as good as being able to play BF3 with a minimum (!) framerate of 35 FPS. It will be playable, right? Not like with 20 FPS or less..?). Sager, Toshiba :D , and other good brands are welcome to the list. Been to XoticPC, nothing interesting, at least I did a rough review of the laptops. I created similar thread a couple of weeks ago, but nobody responded me the way I wanted.
13. What country do you live in?
USA
14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.
My parents are kind of don't want me to "spend my life in front of the computer" (I have a $350 laptop now, definitely won't handle BF3. Forget about desktop, as it needs to be mobile). I don't want to get the desktop cpu class laptop out there either, seeing as they are very expensive. I just want a laptop that can handle current games moderately and is somewhat future proof. I want the Sandy Bridge, since it seems to be more effecient. How stupid it wouldn't sound, but I found somewhere that on full settings, 6990M runs it on 16 FPS. They show average speed, as usual. Ehm... Won't 6970 CrossfireX work better? What I'm asking for is a great gaming laptop for little money, to be able to play BF3 at next settings:
1920x1080, Ultra, No AA/AF (well, I mean I don't really care if there will be AA/AF or not, all other settings shouldn't change)
If you need extra details, please ask. And again, FORGET ABOUT DESKTOPS, please!

Solution
PCPerspective looked at the GTX 580M and HD 6990M with BF3.
Didn't quite make it to 30FPS avg on Ultra. High settings did better.

First of all, laptop and desktop hardware are two completely different beasts. You can't just throw in 2x 6970 desktop cards into a laptop. Likewise, you can't throw in a desktop Sandy Bridge CPU and overclock it to 4ghz. For $1800 you could build a mini-ATX computer which will be very portable, although not as much as a laptop, but you will be able to get much more performance. A laptop at $1800 will give you decent performance but nowhere near a $1800 mini-ATX build would.

For the price, this is a great laptop: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152292

If you want to spend more, look into Sager/XoticPC, etc. and build a laptop with a 6990m which is currently the best single card laptop setup.

Just to give you an idea of performance, the 6990m's desktop equivalent is the 6870, and the 570m's desktop equivalent is a GTX 460.

All I understand from your post is that you expect someone to give you a link to a Alienware MX-18 with 6970M CF for $1800. Good luck finding :)

Get a 8170 SAGER with 6990M or wait another few months till new cards come out. Not much choices you got I think.

What else should I add/change?

Can it handle BF3 with the settings specified?

(Just so others would read, didn't mean to ask at all)
That PCPerspective, I think I found it on that web site. A couple of days ago I was playing NFS The Run with 30 fps, and no lags, not a single frame stopped for "more than allowed for perfect gameplay". I mean, the gameplay was nice. If it's not the same for FPS, then what's nice? If 6970M crossfirex can handle it just fine (which should be, since 6970m is close to 6850, right?) at reliable fps for fast gameplay, why should I get 6970? I mean, theoretically, I could wait for the 7970m or whatever, but what's its price going to be? Will it be worth of waiting for in means of price and price/performance ratio? And else, prices for 6970m/90m should drop, right? Finally, is 560m sli better? I don't think so... If 6970m crossfirex is $200 more.

Well, well, well. Malibal's Veda is a little more than that, but I can handle that. What I'm asking for is are there any other companies that have laptops with a base gpu 560m/6870m (sli/crossfirex or not, but it should support sli/crossfirex), base cost of $1200-1400 (or less) with upgrades to 6970 crossfirex/(how about) 570m sli, with a total price of $1500-1600, plus warranty $150-250=hope it to be $1800. Get the math?

Exactly. Thanks, AntiZig. I just want the same CPU (2630m/70m), don't care about memory (but more than 4gb, since it's a minimum now for gaming laptops), and 6970m crossfirex. Or, at least, benches for now... I mean, I found Malibal to be the cheapest for now, but who knows if there are any other laptop builders that can provide the same configuration for even cheaper price?
