Gaming Laptop for College

Since I doubt a desktop would fit inside of my dorm room, I am looking for a gaming laptop. I am a computer science major, so I'm sure that any gaming laptop I buy will be strong enough for the curriculum. My budget is about $1,000-$1,200. I was looking at the Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P, but I would still like other suggestions.. I'm looking for a laptop that can run new games like Titanfall and Watch Dogs, with the exception of the occasional Minecraft.

The gigabyte P35 is a excellent laptop (from what reviews say). Even though it does get warm, it is light and powerful.

From what I have been reading, MSI and Lenovo are the best laptops for their price. And thinness does not really matter to me.

Well if thickness doesn't matter then I suggest MSI laptops.

Lenovo is good, however they are made cheaper than MSi laptops.
