Hi I'm looking to get in to PC gaming however I want to get a laptop as I am needing to travel as I will be going to uni. I was just wondering what is the best gaming laptop for around 1000. 17 inch is preference. I will be playing games such as titanfall.

oh fantastic that makes it much easier.
here's a bulky laptop but with the highest quality: http://www.amazon.co.uk/G750JM-T4049H-17-3-inch-Notebook-i7-4700HQ-Bluetooth/dp/B00I1BRDVO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400764564&sr=8-1&keywords=asus+rog+860M
here's a thinner but similar specced offering: http://www.cclonline.com/product/143378/GE60-2PE-029UK/Laptops/MSI-GE60-2PE-029UK-Apache-Pro-15-6-i7-4700HQ-8GB-1TB-GTX-860M-Gaming-Notebook/NOT10016/
this is an ultra thin option - with the same spec - but the only difference is that the Z and Y key's are switched. http://www.notebook.de/msi-gaming-serie-gs60-g-3225?atyp=nb
here's a customised option that is more powerful than any of the other three offerings: https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/vortexIV-LE/

Thanks very much. Also I would just like to know if i spent a few hundred more would there be a significant difference or would i get a better laptop.

honestly, you'd need an extra £300 ish to make the next graphics card update. an 870M for £1000 is about the optimum for price:spec right now.
you could spend another 50 - 100 on say an SSD, a better HDD, etc. - but firm upgrades that I strongly recommend is a 7200HDD, a better wireless card, extra thermal paste and the silver warranty. those four should only cost an extra £30 - add an SSD and you're laughing.
