Hey guys
I'm looking for a gaming laptop under $1000 Canadian. My current laptop just died (HP Envy M6, piece of junk) so I'm in the markey for a new one. I would like a gaming laptop, Intel and Nvidia preferred. I would also like it to be at least 15.6". My current laptop is 17" soso anything close to that size is finefine. I would like to be able to run games like skyrim, borderlands 2, TF2, Saints Row 4 and dragon age on high settings at good fps. I need these to be from Canadian websites like new egg or tiger direct. Thank you!!

If you want to spend a little bit more and get the asus g551jm or g771jm. I have the g771jm and I can attest to it's gaming hoursepower. right now and newegg.ca the g771jm is 1200 and at visions electronics it was 1150. the g551jm you can find for even cheaper. If your can't go over 1000 then I'd say that the lenovo y50 would be your best bet. The second cheapest model is the best one price per performance wise and it was 960 last I checked and lenovo.com/ca .

at NCIX that is probably the best deal under $1000

and it won't play what the OP wants at the settings he wants. So that will tell you one thing. _vaxx your expectations are unrealistic for what you can get from a "gaming" capable laptop at that pricepoint.

Well, considering the screen is only 1366x768 he should be able to play on high settings 40+ fps in the games he mentioned

probably not... though who knows. i'm pretty sure saints row 4, and boarderlands 2 are cpu heavy games... and dragonage Inquisition beats high end desktops up.

I just wanted to see what I could get for under. I could push my budget a bit. I probably wouldn't be playing dragon age a ton but I would be playing a very heavily nodded Minecraft. Also, I'm used to dealing with playing games on my old shit computer that ran Minecraft terribly
