Hello guys. I'm looking for a laptop that could be suitable for gaming in medium to high quality. I will use it mostly to play Skyrim, Borderlands 2 and Civ V. I also prefer NVIDIA VGA but it's not a must. I would want a laptop that can run Skyrim in at least medium quality at 30+ fps. If possible I would want SSD but I dont mind having no SSD.

4+ hours
6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

ok. here is the rule of thumb for laptops in your price range.

DO NOT GET A LAPTOP WITH A 1080p resolution monitor. 1388x768 please... and thank you. If you do that you'll play any game at ultra and 60fps. any a10 will do... any low end nvidia gpu will do... like a 650m...

if you insist on 1080p you'll need a laptop in the $1500 range to even get playable framerates... and often you won't even manage that.

The biggest screw job laptop manufacturers do for "gaming" laptops is stick a 1080p screen on it... ignoring the fact the very BEST and most expensive mobile gpus land somewhere around a 7850/660/7870 in performance.

so get yourself an a10 with a 1366x768 monitor for $500, then spend the other 100 on an ssd, or an i7 with a 650m mobile gpu and 1366x768 monitor... and call it a day
