Hello,

I want a gaming laptop that will be able to play battlefield 3 when it is realeased on medium settings, what is the cheapest one avaliable at the moment?

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
At least 15" screen size

3_What screen resolution do you want?
Not so concerned as long as it is 1024x768 or over, but would also like to be able to link it up to my TV if poss

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Desktop replacement

5_How much battery life do you need?
No preference as will be mainly connected to the mains

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
the main purpose of this laptop will be for gaming use, would want it to be able to run Battlefield three when its realesed on medium, also, Left4Dead 2 - medium

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop?
watching movies and surfing

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?
Over 250 gb

It's not your fault - it's a forum glitch they haven't been able to fix.
But you can delete the duplicate posts. Use the first edit icon in the lower right.
Find the check box that says Delete Entire Thread and that should tidy things up.
 
Thanks for your replies, I had looked at a couple of these, but didnt think the GT540M would be able to cope with BF3?
 
Thats really helpful thanks, also do you know if these laptops have the capability to upgradethe gfx card etc..?
 
They do not have that capability. Not like the easy upgrade ability of desktop PCs.
That same £800 budget would get you a great desktop deal for BF3 on high settings and probably, at least a 20" 1600x900 resolution LCD too, instead of a 15" laptop 1366x768 LCD.
 
While the GT 540M is considered a mid-range laptop graphics card when you compare it to desktop cards it's about as powerful as a desktop GT 430. Which has to be considered a low end, entry level card, costing about £50.
 
Sorry guys been on lunch...

I dont mind paying a little extra for more gfx power if need be, im just completely new when it comes to laptops....
