I'd go with something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Dell-i7559-5012GRY-3840x2160-Touchscreen-i7-6700HQ/dp/B015PYZI8E/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1490259295&sr=1-1&keywords=i7559

It's a little more than $750, but it has a GTX 960m for gaming. And a full voltage quad-core i7 CPU for editing (unlike the last suggestion). Unfortunately, it doesn't come with an SSD, just a regular HDD. It also has a 4K display.

This one is similar, but with a 1080p display instead of 4K:

I would recommend you to go with the Dell Inspiron i5378-7171GRY - Price $745

Specifications:
- 3.5 GHz 7th Gen Intel Core i7
- Intel HD Graphics 620
- 8GB RAM
- 256GB SSD
- 13.3-Inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Truelife LED-backlit touch Display

As far as I know, these specifications are best for video-editing, gaming and other everyday works.

However, it only ships with 256 GB SSD, if you do enough editing you'll need an external storage.

I'm recommending you this because SSDs are way more faster than HDDs and I can't see any better option with SSD than this, under the price range of $750.

If you could manage all your edited videos in an external hard-drive then this laptop is the best!

How on earth are you guys recommending any intel product? Guys he not only said gaming, he said video editing! That means he needs more cpu cores!

I'll be honest $750 is a little cheap for an entry level video editing machine.

About $1000 is around the range you should be at.

Although you could probably cut the fat off and make it work.

I would say wait a little bit longer for AMD ryzen 6 core and or 4 core to come out. https://www.amd.com/en/ryzen

Having more cpu cores will cut your video editing processing time down tremendously.

Let me know if your building your own pc or you need to buy a premade machine?

Hey, at least I recommended a couple quad-core laptops. The guy before me was talking low voltage dual-cores. :p
