Get my iPhone to stop displaying 3G when I am connected to the hotel wifi???

iPhone connected to wifi but not Internet?.. Still displays 3G although free rigid @ hotel

It will display the connection even with WiFi connected, there should be a wireless signal icon by it though.

For issues with the hotel connection, check with them.
