It's really not worth it unless you shell out extra for a protection plan. TCL tvs have a one year warranty and they're serious about the TV only lasting that long. Last 75 inch TCL TV made it 17 months of light use, and then the backlight died. It's a common story.

Exactly. My last four series lasted for 11 months! While it was still working, white lines started showing across the screen. I did purchase this tv, but I also purchased a 5 year warranty from best buy. Worst case scenario, they'll swap it out for a different one.
