Good fan/temp monitoring program for a laptop?

whats a good fan speed/temp monitoring software that i can use on the laptop i picked up for my mother? I used i8kfan gui back in the day but that was only for certain dells. It runs a bit hot i think and i wanted to just double check that the fans are all working and keep an eye on it. I know i can use gpu z or HW monitor, but i want something specificially for monitoring fans/temp

I also use CoreTemp to get temps at a glance at the taskbar.

hmm i'll give those a looksie. It sounds like coretemp does, but does speedfan give you an at a glance temp numbers/bar on the taskbar too? Thats one of the things i liked about i8k fan you coul just mouseover to check fan speed/temp real quick

anyone got any other suggestions?

VIRUS WARNING!!!

I downloaded and installed CoreTemp. Symantec Anti-Virus found it contains the trojan virus,
Trojan.Asprox.B

Am doing a complete system scan to remove any of this crap now.

Coretemp: No problem reported by Avast Antivirus on Version 1.0.6. Program works very well.
