Google Chrome Freezing up

I am currently using Windows 7. I am having an issue where Google Chrome is constantly freezing up on me. I checked for updates. I also don't really have anything heavy running while I have Chrome up. Also when I try to watch videos on facebook they are black. Is this a known issue currently with Google Chrome or does anyone have any tips how to fix the freezing.

Uninstall it, and download the latest version. That normally fixes it. You should not loose any settings as they are all on Google servers.

try one at a time in this order.
start menu search %temp%, hit enter and delete all erasable files
start menu search msconfig, hit enter and under the startup tab turn off anything you dont want running in the background. Restart machine.
go to the 3 bars in the top right of chrome, go to settings, go to the bottom and select advanced settings, go to the bottom of that and reset chrome.
download from toolslib website a program called adw cleaner, run it and clean everything.

I have already tried uninstalling it. Same issue is happening.
