Pt allergies are clearly marked and confirmed before every surgery, typically taped above the patient on the wall to be seen by the doctor. Alternatively, he could have asked one of the 1-8 other people in the operation room to look at this paper. Why in the world would you have to look through the patients past medical records to know they have a medication allergy? What a joke.
