Why did you not mention what version of Google maps for Android gets this feature? Kind of important, you know..

Not the same tho...in apple craps, the still image isn't functional when in split screen. Only when you tap the image and go fullscreen is it functional. And it's only works in a handful of locations like Hawaii and San Francisco.
