With Google photos appWill my already created albums be undone

Unless you remove your gallery from your phone, the areas you have created will still be there. However, if you start viewing everything in the Google Photos app, or using that to make changes, then the app won't keep the same settings as the other app was. You may well have to make changes once in the new app.

Thanks,my aim is to free up phone storage space,I read this would do that ,but I don't want the albums i've created to be dismantled in the process.It seems a bit of a hassle to get avoid this.Am I wrong?
