Samsung, Huawei, Honor, Oppo, Nokia, and just about every other manufacturer, with the exception of Google, released phones in their 2020 lineup which had micro-USB connectors. So I’m not sure where you got the idea USB-C was a standard for all smartphones. Apple by comparison have used the same port on their entire lineup including the budget oriented devices like the SE and 5s since 2012 so it was a pretty weird swipe at Apple.
