The textured case might be a huge improvement. The slick cases of prior made it necessary to add a protective case, substantially increasing pocket bulk. Keeping the size identical to my 3 while increasing the screen size substantially is a nice touch.
A few more pixels to the rear camera would be nice.
I've been ecstatic with my Pixels 1-3 and especially the Google FI network and its included hotspot. Two phones average us $65/mo all totaled
