Solved! GPU Driver Problem

My friend owns an Alienware 17 r3. I believe it has an i7 6700 or something like that, and a Nvidia GTX 970M. He has been playing games at high quality for some time. Lately he hasn't been able to. He did not have Geforce Experience installed so I did that and tried to install the latest driver. It gave me the error message, "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware". So I went to Nvidia's site and the same thing happened. I then decided to run Display Driver Uninstaller. I tried installing it again and it gave me the same message. What can I do?

I would try getting into bios and seeing if can disable iGPU. In doing so, GFE might install.

GFE installs, but the driver won't.

most laptops dont use standard vendor bios so only the laptop or ms driver may work.
