Don't we already have a movie called "Scarface" starred by Al Pacino as Tony Montana? Oh, what, THEY MADE THAT INTO VIDEO GAME, TOO!? Producers in Hollywood need to stop blatant borrowing from video game industry, and invest their money into younger and independent artists without pressure of profitability. It's only a matter of time when people will spend more time on YouTube than TV and movies combined. If they can't realize it, they need to die.

Does this mean Video game companies are finally realising Hollywood doesn’t care about there brand names or the quality of the movie and they are actually only in it for a quick buck? Maybe now we can see some video game movies that actually follow there same respective story. I wont start holding my breath just yet though.

Is it really that much of a story. Be a bad guy for some jerks, be a bad guy for bigger jerks against the first jerks, AND THEN be a bad guy against all the other bad guys. That is like 3 movies though

Lol. We think alike. While reading the article the first thing that popped into my mind was Scarface. Look at GTA4. Immigrant guy trying to make it in organize crime. Scarface is GTA without the actual carjacking.

"Rockster Games' Dan Houser said that GTA can't be condensed into a 2-hour movie."

lol, like GTA is some literary masterpiece, the ONLY reason I play those games is to blow shit up, drive around smashing into things, and generally being the major asshole i'm not allowed to be in real life.

That movie is awesome and the game ain't so bad either.

I think each GTA game would need to be made into a separate movie, you can't just take a series like that and stuff it into one movie. No way.

[citation][nom]LATTEH[/nom]im sorry but any movie that is made from a game will suck it just isn't as good as the game D:[/citation]

I'm sure there must be more but I thought silent hill was a great movie. Best seen in the cinema, when the sirens went off, floor rumbled!

you cant really put GTA into a movie - the first thing you do in the game is steal a car and find the nearest accountant to clip at 180kmh and send flying into another car whilst empyting slips of ammo into some nearby petrol bowsers - its not really possible to create a GTA movie akin to the game even remotley what with the people screaming PLZ FINK OF TEH CHILDRENZ and the amount of flak the game itself catches in the first place - a real shame actually
