Great quality

Hello,
My sister gave me her old Great Quality laptop which I love. A few weeks ago I subscribed to AT&T wireless dsl, or wi fi, I believe it's called. However, my computer won't go wireless, and I have to keep it hooked up to the ethernet cord which is attached to the new modem which lives in my bedroom. I don't know much about computers but believe that the wi fi that is built into this computer has been disabled. My question is, how can I enable it so that I can use my laptop at work and out in the other room? Any help you can give me would be so very much appreciated.

Did it ever occur to you to call AT&T ??

Not sure why your asking US how to hook it up when your paying THEM for service.
