Grey Screen on a hp immediately after power up

Hello

I am having trouble determining what is wrong with my hp dv4-1548dx laptop.

My laptop recently fell and the screen was broken, pets are amazing, but would still display, and work properly, if I connected to my TV through HDMI cables.

I bought a new LCD Screen to replace the cracked one (2 days ago) , hooked it up and now all I get is a grey screen at start-up.

It still boots and runs the startup process, but can't see anything on the monitor. Lights come on, power button works, you can hear the fan and hard-drive spin.

I'm going to see if a loose wire or something else, but any help into the matter would be greatly appreciated.

I own a laptop repair company....WRONG screen is your problem...

The numbers on the white stickers on both new and old screen MUST match EXACTLY....EVERY number and letter...

Hmm well this is a small monetary set-back, but at least i know exactly what do now.

If you don't mind I'm saving this to my other laptop. Thanks for helping end my day on a decent note.
