Speaking of games, Xbox One store had a Forza Horizons 2: Fast And Furious for free yesterday, i think it is still free.

Good game, but i guess i expected more.

October 27th 2015 would be a great time for Microsoft to finally do what really needs to be done and UPDATE the hardware in the XBox One. DirectX 12 will be out by then and there are several things that really need updated, *IF* they want to out perform the PS4 that is, and win back loads of XBox fans.

For example, I would like to see the new NVMe interface be included to improve boot and game load times.

that is a terrible idea. they can't ignore the millions of xbox ones already sold.

Happy April Fools to you as well Do you REALLY expect them to use NVMe in consoles when it's still not making its way to the majority of new PC motherboards and consumer SSDs? This won't happen for the next 10 years...

This is a dumb idea. For one you really don't think MS knew about DX12 to make their console compatible? Then you want to add something that will make 2 different consoles for MS to support and for game developers support? Never going to happen.

Xbox One and PS4 were both under powered in my eyes but those are the consoles we have to work with and live with for the next 7+ years.

Plus don't forget the cheapest NVMe card/storage is around $800 so you want the console to cost $1000+ yeah good luck getting people to buy that. I had a hard time paying $500 double the cost and I would have stayed with my 360.

No, including NVMe is not a bad idea, especially when games are getting larger - TitanFall and GTA-5 and even more so when we start getting into 4k and 8k.

I'm sure Sony and ms will include nvme in their next console. Which will happen in around 10 years.
