hard drive swap failure

I've got acer 5742z Intel windows 7 ultimate that's needing charger port fixed and decided use another 5742 i5 windows 10 but want to use my old hard drive with my files and windows 7 that's installed. Swapped the drive out and it booted into startup repair and after waiting 18 hours have powered it off so any help would be greatly appreciated.

You typically cannot move a drive from one computer over to another computer unless the two systems are identical. You can access your data from the drive you need, but you would need to use an adapter to connect the drive to the other computer externally (which means you wouldn't be able to run Windows or the programs from the external drive, only access the files).
