Harmon Kardon amp outputs sound through tv?

Hi I m new to the community so I m sorry if I am asking this in the wrong place. Basically I have a harmon kardon amp/reciever. I ve connected an hdmi cable from my playstation 4 to the reciever, and then an hdmi cable from the reciever. The video works just fine. Problem is the sound is been output from the tv speakers and there isnt anything coming from my sorround speakers? Help?

Do you get sound out if you disconnect the tv from the receiver?

Sorry, i was typing in such a rush anyways, the hdmi cable from the receiver to the Tv.

Nope, theres no sound if i disconnect it because the playstation is hooked up to the amp directly.

If the receiver is passing the audio through to the TV and when you disconnect the HDMI going from the receiver to the TV the sound comes on the surround speakers then there should be a setting in the receiver menu to change this.
You could also try a different HDMI input.
