Haswell Laptop availability

When will the first Haswell laptops be available? I am in the market for a new laptop and not sure if I should wait for the new laptops. I care about battery life and portability. Right now I am looking at 13 inch ultrabooks.

I would guess the 1st laptops will likely appear in mid-June. I believe Intel started shipping out Haswell CPUs to OEMs in February .

Yeah, consumer chips are available as of June 3. The ES chips have been out for testing purposes for ODMs and OEMs already, so expect Haswell systems to launch sometime after June 3.

But honestly, there is a rather modest performance gain in CPU performance. The bigger leap is in iGPU benchmarks. If you're going to look for something with dedicated graphics, Ivy Bridge will still suit you just fine.
