Do I need a set top box to get digital TV on old TV that has hdmi connection and I have a blue ray player with only HDMI connection. Where do I put the Airial cable connection

Your TV should have an RF input that looks like a threaded cylinder with a small hole in the center. If you don't have this connection then your TV is a monitor (which doesn't have any kind of tuner built in). If it does have this connection it will also need a built in digital HD digital tuner. If either is true you will need a set top tuner. Some of these come with dual tuner PVR functions which allows you to record one channel while watching another just like the old VCR days.
