Have Jvc reliever that has two rca connections labeled subwoofer. Can I connect my speakers to them directly.

Solution
These connections are for self powered subwoofers only.
If you speakers are unpowered subwoofers you would need to add an amplifier.
If these speakers are not subwoofers then you can't connect them to the subwoofer outs since you will only get low bass and nothing else.
If these are powered speakers then you can use an adapter like this

which will convert the speaker output to line level output that is compatible with powered speakers.

Solution
The RCA connections labeled subwoofer first of all are low pass outputs. This means they have signal for the data, but not enough to drive speakers. This is just like a car stereo where you need an amp between the stereo RCA plugs and the subwoofer.

The second problem you would run into is that those subwoofer ports are already filtered to only have low frequency outputs (hence for a subwoofer).
