Hello,

So recently I decided to purchase a new laptop and bought the 15 inch Surface book 2. I have owned 2 laptops in my life which were Gateway 17 inch and a dell latitude E6420. I have upgraded from the Dell latitude E6420 15 inch laptop due to the very think bezels around the screen space, low resolution, and it becoming very slow.
The specs on the 15 inch Surface book 2 that I have bought are an I7 8th gen quad core, 16gb ram, 256gb ssd, gtx 1060 6gb, with windows 10 Pro.
My other consideration was a 13.5 inch with the same specs except it has gtx1050 2gb, and 512gb ssd.
The above surface book 2 configuration is for my price limit, they are both roughly $45 dollar difference.
The graphics card is nice but for me its complimentary, great to have, but not a priority. My concern is whether to choose a larger screen space with 256gb less ssd space or 256 more ssd space with 1 and half less screen space. What are your thoughts?

How much space do you need on your drive. Check your old laptop and see what you're using. If it's less than 256Gbs get the bigger computer, you'll appreciate the real estate when working on it. If you're gonna be playing games, the 1060 is quite a bit faster than the 1050. I'd prolly go with the bigger one, seems the better buy. If you need the bigger drive, you can always replace the drive in it and get a mechanical HDD instead of a SSD, I think... Haven't taken apart a surface book yet...

Just checked, seems you're not supposed to upgrade the storage, it's an NVMe drive. Doesn't mean you can't, just that you should probably have a good idea what you're doing before you do. :) Hope this helps.
