Okay, so a little back ground..
I have a Lenovo E540 with Windows 10.
I noticed this error yesterday.
I've been googling this alot, and here's what I've tried so far...
First thing I did was run Maleware bytes.
After that I did IP config /release and renew, that didn't work.
I found something which said to delete, then reinstall some Registry keys (Winsock and WinSock2) did that, and nothing.
I tried to flush DNS, that didn't help either.
I've disabled and enabled it using the Windows settings, and the Fn switch.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the card via device manager.
I've also ensured that the "allow device to turn off to save power" is unchecked.
At this point I should point out that, sadly, I am unable to connect via a cable to my router. I have 2 devices (my main PC, and my PS4) connected via wifi, with no issues.
My laptop see's the WiFi but does not communicate. No gateway is visible from ipconfig /all.
the info from Ipconfig is this:
Wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection (This is my wifi network):
Connection specific DNS sufix . : (blank)
Description:INtel (R) Wireless-N 7260
Physical Address: [redacted...is that something I should give out? I don't feel like I should.]
DHCP Enabled:Yes
Autoconfig. Enabled: yes
Link-local IPv6 address: (long numbers then the word Preferred in brackets like this has)
Autoconfig. IPv4 Address: 169.254.94.4 (Pref)
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
Default Gateway: (blank)
DHCPv6IAID:[redact]
DHCPv6 Client DUID: [redact]
DNS Servers: (ipv6 addresses, should be 4?)
NetBIOS over TCPip Enabled.
